An Inner West carpet cleaning company is helping drive the sustainability bandwagon and it is a trend which looks likely to grow.
Butler Carpet Cleaning, based at Drummoyne and servicing the whole Sydney basin, says it uses the “green” approach to cleaning.
Company Director Mark Langrell said: “Traditionally carpet cleaners use equipment that requires high usage of fossil fuel which creates high levels of noise intrusion, toxic waste water and air pollution through exhaust emissions. Our new green cleaning system creates no waste, is whisper quiet (54dB), no air pollution and negligible power usage.”
Any home cleaning buff can keep their homes clean with average household items, Mr.Langrell said. He recommended white vinegar in a neutral detergent – used in moderation – to clean effectively without the environmental effects of supermarket products.
The company won industry accolade National Sustainable Carpet Cleaning Company last year.
